South African Lizelle Lee’s century led the Hobart Hurricanes to a 93-run victory over the Melbourne Renegades, keeping their hopes of making the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) finals alive. Lee’s powerful 101 not out off 53 balls helped the Hurricanes reach a total of 212 for 3, a new record for the team. In response, the Renegades were dismissed for 119, with Maisy Gibson taking 4-25 and Amy Smith 3-17. Lee also performed well in the field, taking a great catch to dismiss Harmanpreet Kaur.
