New Zealand cricket team were not good when they play with the Bangladesh cricket team. Bangladesh had a good day of winning on the first day of the Dhaka Test by taking 13 New Zealand wickets in 49 minutes. They were able to severely disrupt the New Zealand lineup, leaving them at 55 for five at the end of the day.
New Zealand’s spin trio was responsible for Bangladesh’s downfall, allowing them to fold for 172 runs. The Bangladesh team, however, demonstrated resilience after being reduced to 47 for four before a 57-run partnership between Mushfiqur and Shahadat steading the innings before Mushfiqur was controversially given out obstructing the field.
The New Zealand team has some tough times ahead and they will need to regroup in order to mount an effective counterattack.
