England Lions are set to tour India in early 2024 for a red-ball series that will coincide with the men’s five-match Test series. The Lions’ 15-man squad will play a two-day warm-up match against India A, followed by three four-day matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The squad will be in India from January 12 to February 4, overlapping with the first Test in Hyderabad and the first part of the second Test in Visakhapatnam.
The squad includes players like Alex Lees, Keaton Jennings, Brydon Carse, Matthew Potts, and Matt Fisher. Josh Bohannon, who led the County Championship Division One run charts last summer, will captain the team. Spinners Jack Carson and Callum Parkinson, along with other slow bowlers, will also be part of the squad.
England Men’s performance director Mo Bobat expressed his excitement about the challenge of playing in India and highlighted the squad’s strong core of players from the recent training camp in the UAE.
