The Men’s U-19 World Cup has been moved to South Africa and will take place from January 19 to February 11. The final will be held in Benoni. The tournament will feature four groups: India, Bangladesh, Ireland, and USA in Group A; England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland in Group B; Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in Group C; and Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal in Group D. The matches will be played at five different venues. Following the group stage, teams will enter the Super Six stage, with the top teams competing in the semi-finals. The decision to move the tournament from Sri Lanka was made after the ICC suspended Sri Lanka Cricket due to government interference. South Africa has successfully hosted cricket events in the past and is looking forward to welcoming the best young cricketers to the tournament. The event will also serve as preparation for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. Prior to the tournament, teams will play two warm-up matches between January 13 and 17.
