The match-winning innings from skipper Hayley Matthews helped Renegades post 169 for 7 before she restricted Heat to 167 for 9 in the final over. Matthews’ heroics included scoring 46 runs off 28 balls and taking important wickets and catches. Despite a brilliant 65 off 36 balls by Grace Harris, Heat fell short in the chase. The loss could be costly for Heat, who are currently in third position on the WBBL table.
