The PCB is set to have a new chairman with Mohsin Naqvi expected to take over after elections, which could happen as soon as next week. Zaka Ashraf recently quit as chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), leaving the position vacant. Naqvi, currently the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, is nominated to fill the vacancy. PCB election commissioner Shah Khawar is currently in charge and will provide further details on the election schedule. If Naqvi is elected as chairman, he will continue to hold his government position until the general elections on February 8. This would end a period of over a year without a formal PCB chairman.
