Fraser-McGurk is a highly regarded batting talent who recently moved from Victoria to South Australia. He made headlines with a world-record 29-ball century in the Marsh Cup, and is filling in for Maxwell who is resting ahead of the T20Is against West Indies and New Zealand. Fraser-McGurk also scored his maiden first-class century against his former team and had an impressive run in the BBL for Melbourne Renegades. Bartlett, the leading wicket-taker in this season’s BBL with Brisbane Heat, has replaced Richardson in the squad. Australia’s ODI squad is focused on rejuvenation ahead of next year’s Champions Trophy and the 2027 World Cup. Some all-format quicks have been rested for the three ODIs, and Steven Smith will captain the side. The squad includes exciting new talents like Matt Short, Aaron Hardie, and Lance Morris. The full Australia ODI squad vs West Indies includes Steven Smith (capt), Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Lance Morris, Matt Short, and Adam Zampa.
