Shamar Joseph sidelined from ILT20 due to toe injury

1 min read

Due to signing with Capitals before the Australia tour, Shamar Joseph was set to head straight to the ILT20 but will now return home to recover before travelling to the PSL. Joseph’s recent career success has made him a sought-after player for T20 leagues around the world, but he has committed to always being available for West Indies duty. Following his standout performance in Gabba, Joseph received praise and media attention, with calls for the West Indies board and other organizations to compensate and protect him. Although Joseph was not scheduled to play in the white-ball leg of the Australia tour, he could potentially be in contention for the T20 World Cup in June. The West Indies’ upcoming ODI series and T20Is will see Shai Hope and Rovman Powell leading the team, respectively.
