Victoria’s 160 for 4, with an unbeaten 81 from Matthew Short, defeated Tasmania’s 156 (with Beau Webster making 47 and Sam Elliott taking 5-26 and Fergus O’Neill 3-33) by six wickets. This win catapulted Victoria to the top of the domestic one-day table. Victoria, led by star opener Matthew Short, took their time in the chase but were able to bring up their fourth win of the season with 14 overs to spare. In the meantime, Tasmania will host the resurgent NSW next Saturday in a four-day game.
