Australia’s David Warner falls after cautious start
Warner survived two close calls and appeared set to bat through to lunch before being dismissed in a much-needed boost for Pakistan in the third Test at the SCG.
Early wickets proved elusive for Pakistan as Australia batted watchfully with opener Usman Khawaja unbeaten on 35 from 98 balls.
Warner’s dismissal on 34 was the only wicket in the session, making the contest well poised.
Pakistan captain Shan Masood turned to offspin after Warner and Khawaja started cautiously.
