In Harare, Ireland 141 for 4 (Tector 54*, Dockrell 49*) defeated Zimbabwe 140 for 6 (Burl 36, Bennett 27, Delany 2-8, Little 2-21, Young 2-27)by six wickets. Harry Tector and George Dockrell scored an unbroken 104-run partnership to help Ireland win their first away T20I series against a full-member team. Ireland started slow, struggling at 37 for 4 in seven overs, but Dockrell and Tector managed to put them in a comfortable position, eventually winning with eight balls to spare. Tector played a crucial role in Ireland’s chase in the previous game and was the top scorer of the series. Zimbabwe was forced to name a third captain in the absence of their regular captain and had to make several changes. Zimbabwe struggled in the top order but Brian Bennett managed to score 27 runs. Gareth Delany took two wickets in the seventh over, changing the game’s momentum, and Ireland managed to keep the pressure on Zimbabwe, ultimately winning the match.
