Megan Schutt Reflects on 200th International Game: ‘It’s a Silly Game, but I Just Love It’

Megan Schutt is set to become just the sixth Australian woman to reach 200 international matches when she takes to the field on Saturday. The 31-year-old will achieve the milestone when Australia host South Africa at the Adelaide Oval. “It makes you feel a bit old,” said Schutt. “Game one, I didn’t even expect to play that in my lifetime. So to get to 200 is pretty darn cool and having it at Adelaide Oval is fate in itself and extremely special.” Schutt, who made her international debut in 2012, expressed her love for the game and the people involved in it. She also spoke about the challenges of being a fast bowler in a batter’s game. Despite the challenges, she is determined to keep playing as long as her body holds out and Cricket Australia wants her to continue. Schutt also reflected on the career highlight of winning the 2020 World Cup T20, which she described as a life-changing moment.
