David Warner’s lost baggy green, including his original cap from his Test debut in 2011, has been found at the team hotel in Sydney. The backpack was discovered four days after Warner announced its loss in transit between Melbourne and Sydney ahead of his final Test.
Warner thanked everyone involved in finding his baggy green in a video posted on social media, saying “Any cricketer knows how special their cap is and I will cherish this for the rest of my life.”
A Cricket Australia spokesperson confirmed that the bag, along with its contents, was found at the team hotel, but the movements of the missing bag remain unclear despite extensive searches and the review of CCTV footage.
Warner had used a loaned fresh cap from Cricket Australia before his original cap was found, and the CA CEO expressed relief and gratitude for its recovery.
