Australia has opted to bat against India
Australia captain Alyssa Healy chose to bat first in the only Test against India on a cold 23-degree morning in Mumbai.
India introduced wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh and Australia brought in left-arm fast bowler Lauren Cheatle, both making their debuts.
India were forced to leave out batter Shubha Satheesh due to injury, while Yastika Bhatia would continue to keep wicket. The Indian team includes three spinners and two fast bowlers.
Australia’s playing XI features three spinners and two fast bowlers, with Alyssa Healy leading the team as captain for the first time.
