Diana Baig has been ruled out of the entire ODI leg of Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand due to a fractured finger. Nida Dar’s participation in the second and third games of the Women’s Championship series is in doubt after she was hit in the face with the ball while bowling in the first ODI in Queenstown. The team physio has determined that Nida will not take any further part in the ODI, with a decision on her participation in the remaining matches to be made later. Sadaf Shamas replaced Dar for the game, and Fatima Sana led the team in her absence. Additionally, the PCB confirmed that Baig has suffered “a horizontal fracture” in the right index finger, making her unavailable for the ODI series against the White Ferns. Further assessments will determine the extent of Baig’s injury and the necessary course of action for her recovery.
