2 min read

The third and final ODI between Ireland and Zimbabwe saw Ireland choosing to bowl first after making just one change to their XI. This change saw left-arm spinner Theo van Woerkom come in for Josh Little, who was ruled out due to injury. This will be van Woerkom’s second ODI, having debuted against England in September.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe made three changes to their lineup after poor batting displays in the first two ODIs. Takudzwanashe Kaitano was brought in for his first game of the series, while Innocent Kaia and Luke Jongwe returned to the side. Captain Sikandar Raza confirmed that Ryan Burl was still going through concussion protocols and was ruled out of the third ODI. Richard Ngarava missed out due to a groin injury, while Milton Shumba had to make way for team balance.

Heading into the third ODI, Ireland led the series 1-0, having won the second ODI after the first one was washed out.

The lineups for the match were as follows:

Zimbabwe: Joylord Gumbie (wk), Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Sikandar Raza (capt), Innocent Kaia, Clive Madande, Brandon Mavuta, Luke Jongwe, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Tanaka Chivanga

Ireland: Paul Stirling (capt), Andy Balbirnie, Curtis Campher, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker (wk), George Dockrell, Andy McBrine, Mark Adair, Graham Hume, Craig Young, Theo van Woerkom
