New Zealand cricketer Ish Sodhi has expressed confidence in the “experienced heads” in the team to recover from their loss in the first Test against Bangladesh. The team captain, Tim Southee, believed that they did not bowl consistently enough in the correct areas for a long enough time. Sodhi, who was the last batter dismissed in the Test, praised the home team’s performance and stated that it provided a blueprint for New Zealand to follow. He highlighted the team’s history of quickly moving on from losses and hoped that the experienced players in the squad would lead the way to a successful bounce back. Sodhi stressed the need for accuracy from the bowlers and discussed the challenge of adapting to conditions after a long break from Test cricket. He also looked forward to returning to Mirpur, where he had previously achieved success, for the second Test.
