Queensland and Western Australia’s Sheffield Shield match ended in a draw. Queensland declared at 274 for 8 in the first innings and 137 for 3 in the second innings, while Western Australia scored 330 in their first innings.
Marnus Labuschagne missed an opportunity to spend more time at the crease. After Queensland had a lead of 81 runs in their second innings, both teams agreed to shake hands at tea on day four at the Gabba.
During the match, only three wickets fell on the final day, resulting in a draw. Labuschagne was dismissed for duck in the first innings and was not able to spend much time at the crease in the second innings.
This match was affected by rain and bad light, making it difficult to achieve a result. Queensland captain Khawaja expressed disappointment over the lost opportunities and the conditions affecting the game.
Despite the draw, WA captain Sam Whiteman was pleased with his team’s performance and looks forward to heading into the Big Bash break with three wins out of six matches.
